HeartCode® BLS Online+ for MENA is a self-directed, comprehensive eLearning program that uses adaptive learning technology to allow learners to acquire and demonstrate Basic Life Support (BLS) skills using a personalized learning path that adapts in real time to a learner’s performance.
Students who successfully complete the eLearning cognitive portion and the hands-on session (skills) with an AHA Instructor (sold separately) will receive an AHA BLS Provider course completion card (eCard), valid for two years. If you are a student, please confirm with your Training Center that this is the appropriate product for your training.
HeartCode® BLS Online+ for MENA is designed especially for healthcare providers based in the Middle East who need Basic Life Support training for their clinical duties. This program covers the full BLS curriculum, with adaptations that account for cultural sensitivities, such as:
• Only male actors and manikins shown during video scenes where the chest is exposed • Only male person depicted in illustrations where the chest is exposed

The program is designed for healthcare professionals who need Basic Life Support training for their clinical duties. Utilizing a variety of eLearning assets such as dramatizations, Cognitive Assessment Activities (CAAs), illustrations, knowledge checks and interactive activities, this program teaches BLS knowledge and skills. This method of learning provides training consistency and adaptability to different learning styles. Students can work at their own pace applying their knowledge to real-time decision making. Debriefings and coaching are provided immediately after each knowledge check and each Cognitive Assessment Activity.
This product has been updated with new science from the American Heart Association 2025 Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care.

The AHA’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association 2025 Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care.
The BLS Course focuses on what you need to know to perform high-quality CPR in a wide variety of settings. You will also learn how to respond to choking and other types of life threatening emergencies.
After successfully completing the BLS Course, you should be able to:
• Describe the importance of high-quality CPR and its impact on survival
• Apply the BLS concepts of the Chain of Survival
• Recognize the signs of someone needing CPR
• Perform high-quality CPR for an adult, a child, and an infant
• Perform chest compressions using correct hand placement at the correct rate depth and chest recoil
• Demonstrate effective breaths or ventilation
• Describe the importance of early use of an automated external defibrillator (AED)
• Demonstrate how to use an AED
• Perform as an effective team member during multirescuer CPR
• Describe how to relieve a foreign-body airway obstruction (FBAO) for an adult, a child, and an infant
• Describe how to help someone in an opioid-associated emergency
• Describe how to perform high-quality CPR on a pregnant woman, including manual lateral uterine displacement (LUD), during maternal cardiac arrest
• Describe the Drowning Chain of Survival
• Recognize signs of a heart attack
• Describe actions to help someone having a heart attack
Issued upon successful course completion: BLS Provider eCard (International). This eCard does not need to be purchased separately: it is included in the purchase of the 2025 HeartCode BLS product. AHA provider eCards are available only to authorized AHA Training Center Coordinators. Training Centers are responsible for allocating and/or monitoring eCards for Training Sites.
BLS for MENA products are designed for healthcare providers based in the Middle East and feature slight modifications to account for cultural sensitivities.
